Customer Service Advice
Take Our Advice
Modern-day technology is quite fascinating especially when it comes to today’s cars, trucks, and SUVs. With all the digital dashboards, computers, O2 sensors, unibody construction, and other related advancements, it’s difficult to think of what auto manufacturers haven’t figured out yet to provide drivers with what they need.
Today’s vehicles also run smoother, last longer, and are more efficient than models from years gone by. Upkeep, however, remains the same as it always has when it comes to your car or truck. This is the most important thing when it comes to any combustion engine regardless of how advanced modern technology is.
Garlisch Automotive Services Inc is here to provide your vehicle with all the services it needs. Our staff will diagnose problems and give you lots of tips on how to better care for your car or truck.
Read Your Vehicle's Manual Before Bringing It to Us
Before you bring your vehicle to us, we advise that you always check your driver’s manual to know more about the components, systems, and service schedules. We recommend that you keep a journal of all repairs and services needed and not ever ignore your car or truck’s warning signals.
You’re used to how your vehicle feels when you drive it, so if something doesn’t feel right, it probably means service is needed.
Check Each and Every Angle of the Problem
Here’s what you should check for if you suspect a vehicular issue:
- Abnormal sounds
- Odors
- Excessive drips and leaks on the asphalt or concrete where you always park your car or truck
- Any warning lights that come on or gauge readings that deviate from the norm
- Worn-out belts, tire treads, and hoses
- Unusual vibrations
- Difficulty driving the vehicle for any reason (handling, steering, brakes, etc.)
If there’s an issue, what you need to do is jot down when you first noticed the problem, how often the issue occurs, the temperature of the engine (cold or warmed up) when the issue starts, what speed you’re traveling at for the issue, whether it happens only when you accelerate or not, and whether or not you brake or shift gears.
Once you’ve gathered all the data, give it to us, and we’ll take it from there. The list will help us diagnose the problem much quicker.
Let Us Know What's Taking Place
Please don’t hesitate to ask us any questions about what your vehicle needs and how we can help. Tell us what the symptoms are (again, the aforementioned list will help us a great deal), and let the professionals do the rest. We use top-of-the-line equipment to diagnose any vehicular issue quickly and efficiently.
Look at us as doctors, if you will, when it comes to your car or truck. Just like you would tell a physician what your symptoms are, let him/her do what’s needed, and don’t take matters into your own hands.
